In 2024, we saw a historical year for the wedding industry, with the most amount of equity being raised in this area — £20.3m. This could indicate significant growth for wedding companies in 2025.

Total fundraising to date: £1.30m
Badgemore Park is a leisure centre and golf course which provides event spaces for weddings. The venue offers three wedding spaces and is fully licensed so couples can get married on site.
The company secured a huge £1.30m in its one and only funding round, and was established in 1997 but not fully incorporated until 2024. It has hit our growth signal for 20% scaleup and hit one of our social and governance signals as it has a diverse age range amongst its directors.

Location: Cotswolds
Total fundraising to date: £1.32m
Cripps Barn Group, also trading as Cripps & Co, operates several barns across England that can be hired for weddings and other events.
The company has been through two fundraising events, raising a total of £1.32m. In 2019 it featured on the 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain high-growth list.

Hostology provides event management and wedding planning software on a subscription basis. The subscription is aimed at wedding planners, with the option to invite the couple and guests to the app so the entire wedding can be organised through one centralised system.
The company, which was incorporated in 2018, has gone through five funding rounds — raising a total of £2.42m. Two of these funding rounds happened just last year, in 2024.

Hamilton Park Racecourse operates a racecourse and also hosts other live events such as weddings.
The company has been running for over 100 years, being incorporated in 1923. It’s been through two funding rounds, most recently in 2023 for £500k. It raised a more significant £2.00m in 2018.

Syrencot is a wedding venue in Wiltshire. It is a Grade II listed Georgian manor house, originally constructed in 1738 and restored in 2018, set within five acres of grounds and gardens.
The company has been through four fundraising events, raising a total of £2.60m. This financial backing has supported its development and operations, enabling the restoration of the property.

Humble Grape is a wine merchant for corporate, special events like weddings, and individual consumers. The company also rents out its London-based wine bars as wedding venues.
This wine merchant was incorporated in 2009 and since then has gone on to raise £2.64m in equity. It also hit our signal for 20% scaleup, meaning the company has grown by at least 20% for a three-year consecutive period.

Kingston Maurward manages a college offering a wide variety of degrees, courses and outdoor activities, in addition to operating an animal park, offering venue hire for events such as weddings, and running equestrian training.
Established in 1948, Kingston Maurward has been running for over 70 years. The company has been through three equity funding rounds. It’s also received two grants totalling £4.80m. In 2021, it announced that the college would be expanding its grounds after a £2.00m grant earlier that year.

Total fundraising to date: £4.12m
Prezola operates a wedding gift list and honeymoon fund platform. It works in a similar way to a registry but all money can be transferred through the app, and the delivery of any physical gifts is also managed by the app.
The company attended the Upscale accelerator programme in 2018. It spun out from GettingMarried in 2019 and then was acquired by The Wedding Shop. It has raised a total of £4.12m through five funding rounds.

Location: West Suffolk
Total fundraising to date: £5.88m
Established in 1998, Cameron Ventures Group operates a group of hotels with restaurants across East Anglia.
The company has only been through one funding round but raised a huge £5.88m. It attended the Eastern Daily Press Future 50 accelerator programme, and has gone on to hit our 20% scaleup signal. In 2023, it acquired Ravenwood Hall Hotel.

Bridebook is an online service that offers users media content on weddings, discounts from wedding suppliers, and online tools to assist with the organisation of guest lists and budgets.
The company comes in at number one on our list, having raised a massive £32.3m, well over five times the company in second place. It’s been through five funding rounds since its incorporation in 2014, most recently raising £18.6m in August 2024. Bridebook also hit our 20% scaleup signal.
