The German electronics market has faced some challenges in recent years, witnessing year-on-year decline of around 0.5% since 2010. Despite this, Germany remains the leader in electronics revenue in Europe, ahead of France, Italy, and Poland.
Despite this recent downturn, Germany’s electronics market is expected to grow due to government subsidies for semiconductors, rising demand from the automotive sector, and projected increases in consumer electronics and active electronic components. By 2028, the German electronics market is on track to hit around €138b — a 6% increase from the €130b in 2023, or a modest annual growth of about 0.9%.
In this article, we’re taking a look at the companies at the forefront of this industry, driving innovation and shaping the future of electronics, both in Germany and across the world.
